About us

Living Knowledge Place (LKP) is a digital learning platform that supports schools to bring Indigenous Knowledge Systems into the classroom through authentic, community-led learning experiences.

Created in partnership with Traditional Owners, Indigenous practitioners and communities, Living Knowledge Place shares stories, perspectives and lived experiences that help students connect more deeply to Country, culture, community and the environment.

With easy to use curriculum-aligned resources, videos and interactive learning experiences, the platform supports teachers to meaningfully embed Indigenous perspectives across a range of learning areas.

In addition to educational resources, Living Knowledge Place creates opportunities for students to learn through relationship, place and story. By engaging with real-world examples and community knowledge, students are encouraged to think critically, build cultural understanding and explore how Indigenous Knowledge Systems contribute to contemporary environmental and social solutions.

LKP supports learning that is grounded in respect, cultural integrity and community authority. Knowledge is shared with the guidance and consent of those who hold it, ensuring Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) remains respected and protected.

Living Knowledge Place is an initiative of the Living Knowledge Network, a national Indigenous-led network that supports communities to strengthen, protect and share Indigenous Knowledge Systems.  Together, we work alongside communities, educators and partners to create learning opportunities that support healthy Country, strong cultures and informed future generations.
